Welcome to Coopey's Counselling Services

A confidential space to explore the thoughts, feelings and challenges in your life.

Ella - Qualified Person-Centred Therapist

My name is Ella and I am a fully qualified counsellor specialising in Person-Centred Therapy, dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion and support.

My approach is rooted in the belief that each person has the capacity for growth and self-healing when given the right environment. I aim to create a space that is non-judgmental, empathetic, and client-led, allowing you to explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace. I offer both short-term and long term therapy.

As a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), I adhere to the highest ethical and professional standards, ensuring that your well-being is always at the forefront of our sessions.

How Can Counselling Help?

As a Person-Centred Counsellor, I provide a safe, supportive and non-judgmental environment where you can feel heard, understood and valued. In this approach, you are at the heart of the therapeutic process, and you set the pace for our work together. I believe you have the inner resources needed for healing and growth. My role is to walk alongside you with empathy, compassion and authenticity, offering congruence and unconditional positive regard as you explore your feelings, experiences and challenges.

Through our sessions, you will have the freedom to reflect openly in a space where you are accepted as you are. Together, we will work towards greater self-understanding, building clarity and confidence, and developing a stronger connection with yourself.

You might recognise yourself in one of these:

The Invisible Struggle: Everything looks fine from the outside, but internally, you’re using every bit of your energy just to keep the wheels turning.

The Nervous System "Hum": Being in a constant state of "high alert" or waiting for the other shoe to drop, even when there is no immediate danger.

The Compassion Gap: You are incredibly kind and patient with everyone else, but your internal monologue is a constant stream of self-criticism.

Decision Fatigue: Even the smallest choices feel like a mountain you can’t climb because your mental load is already at capacity.

The Echo of the Past: Realising that the ways you learned to cope years ago - like staying quiet, over-preparing, or people-pleasing, are now the very things holding you back today.

The Identity Blur: Looking in the mirror and wondering who is actually left behind the roles of parent, partner, or professional.

Whether it’s a major life transition or a general sense of "stuckness," counselling provides the space to take the mask off and breathe.

Whatever brought you to this page today, know that it is enough of a reason. You don’t have to have the "perfect" words to start the conversation.

SPEAK IN CONFIDENCE

Counselling takes place in a safe space, where you can meet with someone who will listen with sensitivity and empathy - and without judgement. In the therapy space thoughts and feelings can be expressed freely and in confidence.

A PROBLEM SHARED...

There are a number of reasons in which people may wish to come to counselling. Sometimes people feel lost or stuck in life and want to explore this in a confidential setting. Others may feel no longer like themselves and are struggling with difficult feelings. Whether it's anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement, or another challenge you are currently facing, I am here to help.

MAKE BETTER, HEALTHIER NEW CHOICES

By working together, I can help you gain deeper insight into the challenges you are currently facing. We will explore the underlying reasons for your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, enabling you to understand why you act or react in certain ways. Together, we will identify patterns that empower you moving forward.

Contact Me

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how counselling works, or to arrange an initial consultation. This enables us to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to counselling, whether it could be helpful for you, and whether I am the right therapist to help.

You can also call me on 07515 989 988 if you would prefer to leave a message or speak to me first.
