My name is Ella and I am a fully qualified counsellor specialising in Person-Centred Therapy, dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion and support.
My approach is rooted in the belief that each person has the capacity for growth and self-healing when given the right environment. I aim to create a space that is non-judgmental, empathetic, and client-led, allowing you to explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace. I offer both short-term and long term therapy.
As a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), I adhere to the highest ethical and professional standards, ensuring that your well-being is always at the forefront of our sessions.
As a Person-Centred Counsellor, I provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where you feel heard and understood. In this approach, you are at the heart of the therapeutic process. I believe that you have the inner resources needed for healing and growth, and my role is to help facilitate that process by being a compassionate, empathetic listener, offering congruence and unconditional positive regard.
Through our sessions, you’ll have the freedom to explore your feelings, experiences, and challenges in a safe space where you are valued and accepted for who you are. Together, we’ll work toward greater self-understanding and empowerment.
People come to me for help with a wide range of issues. Here are some of the more common difficulties that can be addressed through counselling:
Anxiety
Relationship problems
Low self-esteem
Trauma
Addiction
Confidence
Depression
Stress
Grief and loss
Fertility problems
Counselling takes place in a safe space, where you can meet with someone who will listen with sensitivity and empathy - and without judgement. In the therapy space thoughts and feelings can be expressed freely and in confidence.
There are a number of reasons in which people may wish to come to counselling. Sometimes people feel lost or stuck in life and want to explore this in a confidential setting. Others may feel no longer like themselves and are struggling with difficult feelings. Whether it's anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement, or another challenge you are currently facing, I am here to help.
By working together, I can help you gain deeper insight into the challenges you are currently facing. We will explore the underlying reasons for your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, enabling you to understand why you act or react in certain ways. Together, we will identify patterns that empower you moving forward.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how counselling works, or to arrange an initial consultation. This enables us to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to counselling, whether it could be helpful for you, and whether I am the right therapist to help.
You can also call me on 07515 989 988 if you would prefer to leave a message or speak to me first.
